Lovely Portraits of an 8th Grade Graduate

This client took advantage of the 8th grade graduate special that I was offering this year--a 1-hour session and prints.  I asked the client to send me phone pics of their outfits so I could have the backgrounds ready which allows me to focus on taking their portraits instead of spending time during the session setting up.  DaJia Rhena looks so lovely in her outfits and the backgrounds that we chose to go with them.  She not only looked lovely but displayed a lovely attitude which is obvious in her portraits that I have included for your viewing pleasure.... :)

Farm Boy and a Horse in a Winter Snow Storm

This client wanted to show Weston in his element--horse, barn, hay, etc.  It was quite a photo adventure during this winter storm, but it was all worth it by the shots we got in the snow.  It was actually snowing the whole time and I had to cover my camera so it wouldn't get wet from the snow.  We put together a collage showing Weston and his horse galloping in the snow and I have included it along with my favorites for you to enjoy!

Snow and horses

It was so pretty out this morning as the snowflakes on the dry wildflowers glistened in the sun.  If you look closely at the first photo (to the right of the left wildflower), you can see three snowflakes that blew off of the wildflower.  While photographing in our yard, the horses came over hoping to get a treat.  It looks like they were enjoying the snow too as you can see by the photos I've included below.

Marjorie's Graduate Portraits in the Snow

Marjorie was ready and willing to adventure into the winter storm to get some snow graduation portraits.  We walked through deep snow behind her home and got some great snowy portraits with her wearing a baby blue jacket that matched well with the pretty thick snow as a backdrop.  I have included my favorites from her session for your viewing pleasure....

Valentine Sweethearts

When I ordered this gold colored cloth background, it was intended for a Christmas family portrait; however, I didn't use it as the family changed their outfit colors.  We found out at the last minute that we were going to photograph portraits at Faith Tabernacle's Valentine Banquet and decided that this gold background would go well with red outfits that most folks wear for Valentine's Day. Not only does it look nice with red but other rich colors as you will see by my favorites that I have included for you to enjoy!

Ethan, the Spy

Ethan wanted his 8th grade graduation portraits to have a spy theme.  I can't help but laugh when I look at his portraits.  I have included my favorites from his "spy" portrait session for your viewing pleasure!  Enjoy!

We're free!

"We're free!"  That's how our two horses and four donkeys looked like when we let them out into the pasture after they had been confined to a few acres for a few months while my husband moved the fence closer to our entry road (see first photo below),  The photos below are my favorites that were taken while riding the tractor and following them around the pasture.  To see a slideshow of all of the photos, click here.  Enjoy!

Graduate Portraits in the Snow

Katilin wanted her 8th grade graduate portraits in the snow.  We were blessed with snowy weather on Wednesday and were able to do them in the early afternoon since school was canceled.  These were taken in the woods behind her home.  We had a lot of fun in this session and I was happy to give this client exactly want they wanted!  I've included my favorites from her snowy portrait session!  Enjoy!
